Personal Diversity Statement

I believe all individuals should be accepted. Differences, whether they are related to disabilities, culture, ethnicity or race are important to a well-developed, fully functioning society. Diversity is defined as the understanding that everyone is unique and recognizing our individual differences. To acknowledge and understand our differences, ongoing research, discussion, and experience is essential. I use what I learn to build strong relationships with clients in the future and connect with my peers on a deeper level. Diversity should be celebrated.
In social media and public relations, you’re targeting a range of individuals. In the process, it is important to remember how your messages can impact people, even if they are not your target audience. We are living in a time of growth and interconnectedness. Messages are shared within an instant and with that comes responsibility. With responsibility also comes accountability.
